What is level 2 safeguarding?

Level 2 Safeguarding is part of the Quality payments scheme, one of the eight quality criteria is ensuring that “80% of registered pharmacy professionals have to have achieved level 2 safeguarding status for children and vulnerable adults within the last 2 years”.

Because being a locum pharmacist is a patient facing role, this accreditation is incredibly important to patient safety, we therefore encourage our locum pharmacists to ascertain this accreditation in order to increase their chances of securing bookings with pharmacies on our system.
