Superdrug Latest Guidance for COVID-19

Superdrug takes the safety of all employees and patients extremely seriously. We ask that you please take the time to understand the latest guidance on Coronavirus.

The most important factor in preventing the spread of virus is in good hygiene practices and current advice from the NHS is: 

a.       Wash hands often with soap and water  

b.       Use tissues to catch sneezes and dispose of the tissue in the bin  

c.       Thoroughly and regularly clean surfaces  

 
You can also help keep yourself healthy by eating sensibly, resting well and drinking plenty of fluids.  

If you feel ill you should consult your GP or NHS 111, in addition the Department of Health and World Health Organisation also issue regular updates, you can access these using the below links: 

 

Please work closely with either the Superdrug Head Office locum team or your agency if you have been told to self-isolate or are at risk (see below for details).  

 

Coronavirus countries update (these are subject to change so keep reviewing the .gov website for up to date information).

At the moment, Public health England have issued guidance that you are required to self-isolate if you have had recent travel (even if no symptoms) from: 

The specific 11 towns in Italy: 

·         Bertonico                                                      -     Fombio                   

·         Casalpusterlengo                                         -     Maleo                    

·         Castelgerundo                                              -     San Fiorano          

·         Castiglione d'Adda                                       -     Vo' Euganeo, Veneto 

·         Somaglia                                                        -     Codogno 

·         Terranova dei Passerini  

In addition to the below countries/zones: 

·         Iran  

·         Special care zones in South Korea – Daegu and Cheongdo 

·         Hubei Province   

 

At the moment, Public Health England have issued guidance for those that have returned since 19th February from Northern Italy or one of the countries below to self-isolate and contact NHS 111 only if they are feeling symptoms of the virus. 

·         Northern Italy (defined by a line above, and not including, Pisa, Florence and Rimini)  

·         Vietnam  

·         Cambodia  

·         Laos  

·         Myanmar  

 

They have also issued guidance for those that have recently been to the countries below and retuned in the last 14 days to self-isolate and contact NHS 111 only if they are feeling symptoms of the virus.  

·         China  

·         South Korea (except the special care zones which are as per above) 

·         Thailand  

·         Japan  

·         Republic of Korea  

·         Hong Kong  

·         Taiwan  

·         Singapore  

·         Malaysia  

·         Macau
