Superdrug - Registering and getting paid

This article contains information on registering with Superdrug and how to get paid after you work your shift.

**PLEASE NOTE - if you are a previous employee with Superdrug, you will be unable to locum for us until 6 months after your last day of employment has passed**

Before your shift

  • You must be able to provide DMS (Discharge Medicine Service) - in England only

  • You must have an enhanced DBS or PVG certificate dated within the last 3 years, or be registered on the DBS update service

  • You must have completed level 2 Safeguarding training

  • You must have eligibility to work in the UK

  • You must be able to provide CPCS - England only

  • Your smartcard must have Locum & SCR access - England only

  • Accreditation to provide flu vaccination services may be required*

  • *BLS training and vaccination training, declaration of competence – to be uploaded to accreditations

  • You must have read and understood the Superdrug SOPs relevant to your role

These documents must be uploaded to the compliance section on your Locate

a Locum profile. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your booking.

Store Check in

  • When you first arrive in the store, introduce yourself to the store management team who will explain signing in and out processes.

  • You must keep your Locate a Locum account updated including compliance documents, accreditations and computer systems. This could affect your future Superdrug applications.

Payment

  • Payment is authorised through the store management team who will approve payment after your shift. Please allow a full week for payment to be made.

For Locums offering the NHS England Pharmacy Influenza Vaccination PGD in

a Superdrug store:

  • You must complete the Practitioner declaration on the PGD. You must sign a copy

    of the PGD, ensuring that this is the version signed by the Superdrug Pharmacy

    Superintendent. This should be signed at each pharmacy where you work.

  • Once the above has been completed and all training documents have been uploaded to Locate a Locum profiles, the locum pharmacist is eligible to offer this service.

  • You will be unable to provide the Superdrug Private Influenza Service if you have not completed the Superdrug internal training via SmarterU. If this is something you wish to support, please contact the Pharmacy Manager.
