Well Pharmacy - Registering and getting paid

This article contains information on registering with Well Pharmacy and how to get paid after you work your shift.

Before you work your locum shift it is good practice to contact the pharmacy beforehand to introduce yourself, ask if they have any specific tasks that need to be completed and confirm that you are set up to work with them.

Before applying for shifts with WELL

Check the location-dependent accreditations and forms below that need to be completed before applying for shifts with WELL. Please note proof of accreditations and forms required by WELL should be sent to info@locatealocum.com

England

Before your shift

Please complete and sign by hand the forms below. Then please review the additional information documents and accreditations required:

Accreditations required:

  • Enhanced DBS (Must be on the DBS update service)

  • DBS update service screenshot - this must show the renewal date of your update service subscription

  • Level 2 Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children - MUST be dated within 2 years

  • Dementia Friends

  • Repeat Dispensing

  • Locum Smart Card

  • CPPE Declaration of Competency for Discharge Medicines Service (DMS) Certificate

  • ​Flu Vaccination (where applicable)

Northern Ireland

Wales

Before your shift

Please complete and sign by hand the forms below. Then please review the additional information documents and accreditations required:

Accreditations required:

  • DMR Forms or Proof of National Enhanced Services Accreditation (NESA)

  • ​Flu Vaccination (where applicable)

After your shift - Getting paid

  • No invoice is required to be left in the pharmacy

  • Payment is processed via BACS within 14 days (provided registration is fully complete)

All locums MUST also download the apps Quinyx and Webexpenses.

Quinyx

  • Download Quinyx to complete your registration, alongside the relevant forms and accreditations below.

  • Any shifts you have booked with WELL should be booked on your Locate a Locum diary and also on Quinyx - if these do not match please let us know as soon as possible.

Webexpenses

  • Download Webexpenses and update your bank details for payment to be processed.

  • This is also used to record any expenses after you have worked a shift.

  • For mileage claims, you need to include details on Webexpenses including your vehicle registration.

WELL - Pharmacy Dispensers

Please complete and sign by hand the forms below and upload the relevant accreditations and supporting documents:

  • A CV that is up-to-date, with any gaps explained. WELL will not accept registration/bookings if working with a rival company, these will be rejected.

  • 2 x References – these must be written references, sourced by you and they must be from your most recent roles. Preferably from 2 different employers.

  • PA (NVQ2) Certificate – If not combined, then a copy of the Medicines Counter Assistant or Healthcare Counter Assistant certificate must also be provided. A breakdown of modules covered/completed must also be provided.

WELL - Pharmacy Technicians

Please complete and sign by hand the forms below and upload the relevant accreditations and supporting documents:

  • A CV that is up-to-date, with any gaps explained. Well will not accept registration/bookings if working with a rival company, these will be rejected.

  • 2 x References – these must be written references, sourced by you and they must be from your most recent roles. Preferably from 2 different employers.

  • PT (NVQ3) Certificate A breakdown of modules covered/completed must also be provided.

  • Valid and current GPhC registration.

  • Current and valid police clearance for the region you wish to work in:

  • England/Wales - Enhanced DBS - Must be recent if not on the Update Service.

  • Scotland - PVG Membership is preferred.

  • Northern Ireland - Enhanced Access NI.
