This article provides a step-by-step guide to registering as a locum with Boots Opticians to start booking shifts.
Registration Process
To book shifts with Boots Opticians, you must complete a multi-step registration process. You will receive links and information from your agency (such as Locate a Locum).
Step 1:
You will receive an invite to our Locum Management System, where you will need to complete your profile. You will be required to submit your bank details via the electronic form on your profile.

Complete and submit this form, which goes directly to the Boots Opticians SAPVENDOR team to add your details to their system. Please allow up to 10 working days for this to be completed.
Step 2:
Account Activation. Once your vendor account is created and your vendor number is added to your profile; your account will be marked as "Active."
Boots Opticians will then notify your agency that you are set up and ready to book shifts once all mandatory documents have been uploaded and approved.
Step 3:
If you have not worked with Boots Opticians before, you will need an A3 account which is used in all our Opticians stores.
To access A3 securely on the Boots network, you will also need a OneID profile, both of which will be created for you. You will be provided with your OneID / A3 credentials by e-mail. Your agency will also handle any password reset requests.
Amending Payment Details
If you need to change your bank details after your account has been set up, use the electronic form provided on your profile via the link – ‘Update Your Bank Details’ (for this you will require your vendor number).
Important Notes
All correspondence regarding your registration and account status will be sent from Boots Opticians to your agency.
Your agency is your main point of contact for all registration and account-related questions.
