How to Set Leave Balances for Employees

A step-by-step guide on how to set leave balances for employees.

Once you log into your profile, you will need to navigate to the ‘People’ tab located on the top left-hand side of the below screenshot.

Once you select the ‘People’ tab the following screen will appear:

On this screen you will note the ability to search for the user you wish to edit by ‘Name/ Email’ & ‘User Type’:

You’ll also note the ability to add additional filters by selecting the ‘+ Add Filter’ option to display the following additional filterable options:

Once you have located the user who you wish to edit then click on their name.

Their name is a hyperlink that will display on the following screen:

Navigate the tabs on the left-hand side and select ‘Annual Leave’. Once selected the below screen will appear:

At this stage, you can add a balance for each calendar year. To do this, simply click the ‘Add Allowance’ button. This will give you the option to add holiday entitlements and a ‘Note’ as shown below:

The Holiday Entitlement hours will pre-populate based on the companies ‘Leave Settings’. This can however be edited at this stage.

If the employee has leave carried over from a previous year or any other anomaly you can simply add another allowance by clicking on the green ‘Add Allowance’ button. The example below shows the user adding an extra 10 hours for TOIL.

Once you are happy with the allowances allocated click the green ‘Save’ button to save your changes.
