How to use Instant Book

A step-by-step guide on how to use instant book. Please note this feature is at the employer's discretion.

It is important to note that the ability to instant book is at the employer’s discretion. Therefore locums will only be able to instant book for a shift if previously enabled by the employer.

Firstly, you must navigate to the ‘Find Shift’s tab located on the top left-hand side of the main navigation panel:

Once you select ‘Find Shifts’ the drop-down menu will display the option to view ‘Locum Jobs’ or ‘Stay Always’, as displayed below:

At this point you will select ‘Locum Jobs’, taking you to the following screen:

You will note at this point you can filter the available shifts by Job Type, Date & Location. You can also manipulate the shifts that display further by deciding whether to display ‘All Shifts’, ‘New Shifts’, ‘Worked Before’, ‘Emergencies’ & ‘Blocks’.

Once the applicable filters have been applied, click on the ‘View More option for the shift you’re interested in booking as displayed below:

Once selected the following screen will display:

If ‘Instant Book’ has been enabled by the employer then on this screen you will see the green ‘Book Now’ button. If instant book has not been enabled this will display as ‘Apply’.

At this stage, you will select the ‘Book Now’ button. Once selected the following modal will appear:

Here you’ll be required to confirm your booking, it’s worth noting that this is NOT an application. This is an instant booking requiring no confirmation. For further details on instant book, you can select the ‘Find out more’ hyperlink within the modal.

If you wish to proceed with the booking select the green ‘Confirm Booking’ button.
