How to use Instant Book

What is Instant Book? Instant Book lets you confirm a shift immediately—no approval needed. Availability is set by each employer, so you’ll only see Instant Book options where the employer has enabled it.

Find instant-bookable shifts

  1. Open the Locate a Locum app and tap Search in the main navigation.

  2. Tap the Instant Book quick filter to show only instant-bookable shifts.

3. Browse results and choose a shift:

  • Quick book: tap Book Now on the shift card.
    ​
    ​

  • View details first: tap the shift card to open the Shift details screen.
    ​
    ​

Book the shift

Option A — Book from the list

  1. Tap Book Now on the shift card.
    ​
    ​

  2. In the confirmation modal, tap Book Now again to confirm.
    ​
    ​

    • Note: This is not an application—the shift is booked instantly.
      ​
      ​

Option B — Book from the details screen

  1. Review the information on the Shift details screen.
    ​
    ​

  2. Tap the green Instant Book button.
    ​
    ​

  3. In the confirmation modal, tap Book Now to confirm.
    ​
    ​

    • Note: This is not an application—the shift is booked instantly.
      ​
      ​

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t see “Book Now” or “Instant Book”?
    Instant Book is enabled at the discretion of the employing company. Remove the Instant Book filter to see all available shifts.

  • Need help from Support (in-app)?
    Go to More → Help and contact our Service Desk directly via the app.
