How to register to work with Boots (Locums)

Complete Boots-specific agreements, ensure required compliance documents and payment details are up to date, then wait for Boots approval before booking shifts.

Step 1 — Complete Boots agreements

  1. Open the app → tap More (bottom-right) → Company Search.

2. Search & select Boots to open the company Communication Hub.

3. Navigate to the My Boots category.

4. Respond to the required questions:

  • Conflicts of interest: Yes/No (add details if Yes).

  • Previous employment with Boots: Yes/No.

  • Terms & Policies: review the linked Boots Locum Agreement, Locum Guide, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), then confirm acceptance.

5. Tap Save.

Step 2 — Update compliance documents

  1. Go to More → Compliance Credentials.

2. Upload/update any Mandatory Boots-required documents

3. Ensure Issue/Expiry dates populated, credential evidence uploaded, then Save credential.

Step 3 — Complete payment details

  1. Go to My Finance → My Finance Settings.

2. Tap Bank Account Details

3. Under External Payment Systems, follow the registration link for Boots and complete setup.

  • You won’t be paid until this is finished.

Step 4 — Approval & next steps

  • Once agreements, compliance, and payment are complete, your profile is sent for Boots review (typically 24–72 hours, volume dependent).

  • For status updates or support: email support@locatealocum.com (Locate a Locum).

Troubleshooting

  • External Payment Reference still pending after 2 weeks? Contact locum@boots.co.uk (Boots) for support.

  • Boots not in Company Search? You may not yet be registered with Boots—tap All Companies and search again.

  • Credentials rejected? Recheck credential upload and dates match requirements.

  • Need help? In the app, go to More → Help to contact our Service Desk.
