This article provides a step-by-step guide to registering with Asda Opticians and the process for getting paid after your shift.
Registration and Approval
To work as a locum for Asda Opticians, you must first qualify on the Locate a Locum platform by:
Updating your company agreement:
Navigate to the 'Companies' tab on the main navigation panel.
Find the 'Asda' profile and click 'View Profile'.
Go to the 'My Asda' category and answer the questions regarding any conflicts of interest and your previous employment history with Asda.
Completing your compliance documents:
Go to 'View Profile' under your name in the top-right corner.
Navigate to the 'Compliance Documents' tab.
Upload all mandatory documents, such as your Right to Work.
Right to Work Check
As part of the registration process, you will receive an email from a third-party service, Sterling, to complete your right-to-work check.
Complete the Check: Follow the instructions from Sterling to complete the check.
Confirm Completion: Once the check is complete, you must email CLBTeam@asda.co.uk and cc compliance@locatealocum.com to confirm that you have done so.
Getting Paid
Asda processes payments weekly. You do not need to submit an invoice. As long as your bank details are up to date on your profile, Asda can process your payment.
Payment Timeline: Payments are processed at the start of each week, with payment expected to be received on Friday of the same week.
