Step-by-step guide detailing the process to cancel a shift as an Employer on behalf of the Company or the Locum.

Cancelling a Live Shift:

To cancel a Live shift that is no longer required for cover, from the ‘Shifts’ screen you will need to navigate to the ‘Shifts’ tab located under the ‘All Shifts’ heading:

You can manipulate the shifts that display at this stage by utilising the filterable options available such as ‘Date Range’, ‘Job Type’, ‘Location’ & ‘Region’.

In addition, you can further refine your search by selecting an option from the ‘Add Filter’ drop down menu.

Once you have located the shift you wish to cancel, check the checkbox to the left of the relevant date before then selecting on the green ‘options’ button. From the drop down menu select the option ‘Cancel’.

On the displayed modal, you’ll be required to select a ‘Cancellation Reason’ from the available drop down menu.

If you wish you can also provide ‘Additional Information’ by free texting into the text box available.

Once populated click on the green ‘Confirm’ button to cancel this shift.

Cancelling a Booked Shift:

To cancel a Booked shift that is no longer required for cover, from the ‘Shifts’ screen you will need to navigate to the ‘Booked/Worked’ tab:

Similar to before, once you have located the shift you wish to cancel, check the checkbox to the left of the relevant date before then selecting ‘Cancel’ from the ‘Options’ drop down menu.

Firstly, you’ll be required to select whether or not it is the ‘Company’ or the ‘Locum’ that is cancelling the shift.

Company Cancellation:

If the Company no longer requires the shift, then at this stage you’ll be required to select a ‘Cancellation Reason’ from the available drop-down menu.

Once the ‘Cancellation Reason’ has been selected, you’ll be required to elaborate on your reason for cancellation by free texting into the ‘Message To Locum’ text box.

Once populated click on the green ‘Confirm’ button.

Locum Cancellation:

Alternatively, if the cancellation request has been logged by the ‘Locum’. You will still be required to provide a ‘Cancellation Reason’ from the drop down menu as well elaborating on the reason for cancellation by free texting into the ‘Message to Locum’ text box.

You will however be presented with the option to ‘Republish Shift’, to do this, simply check the checkbox before selecting on the green ‘Confirm’ button. The shift will then be republished with the same shift details as previously posted.
