Compliance Dashboard

Following extensive customer feedback, we are pleased to announce the launch of a significant new module: LAL Compliance!

For customers that have Compliance enabled, you’ll see a new option in the top menu bar:

Clicking the Compliance menu item displays the new Compliance Dashboard which gives you quick access to everything you need to manage and action locum compliance, all in one place.

Terminology Change

We have replaced the term ‘Document’ with ‘Credential’ throughout the LAL platform as this more accurately reflects the varied nature of compliance evidence that locums are asked to provide e.g. Photo ID, proof of Right to Work, Professional Registration numbers etc.

Compliance Dashboard Home Page

The dashboard home page focuses your attention on the highest risk locums i.e. those that have been booked on an upcoming shift but have either not supplied a required credential, or a required credential has expired. The next upcoming, non-compliant shift is at the top of each list.

Where one or more credentials are missing or have expired, you can click on the link in any row to display more information:

Other significant time-savers include available on this home page include:

  • Clicking a locum’s name to view their Locum Profile (see next section)

  • Clicking an item in the “Next Booked Shift” column to see all the details about that shift

  • Clicking an item in the “Actions” column to send them a communication, or be taken directly to their Compliance Overview

Locum Profile Page

Clicking a locum’s name anywhere in the Compliance Module pops up a brand new Locum Profile page where you can see all their information.

The top of the Compliance section is neatly organised into logical tabs that focus on different aspects of locum compliance. We’ve also introduced a new sidebar on the right so you can quickly set your Company Compliance Status for this locum, and see significant Milestone events since the locum joined the LAL platform.

The Overview tab shows which credentials LAL has validated, and those that your company has reviewed and marked as Compliant or Not Compliant.

The other tabs each focus on a specific aspect of compliance:

  • ID & Right to Work

  • Insurance

  • Professional Registrations

  • Police / Legal Checks

  • Company Requirements

  • Systems & Skills

To signify that a locum has met the requirements of each tab, click the Verify button in the top section.

For example, in the ‘ID & Right to Work’ tab, click the Verify button in the top Identity section if the evidence they uploaded meets your requirements, and similarly for Right to Work. Those statuses are immediately updated in the Overview tab.

Please note that the verification status of each credential is independent of the overall status you apply at the top of the tab. This is to ensure that the compliance statuses are explicitly set, and not inferred from the review status of one or more credentials.

Compliance Credential Review Status

To increase clarity about which credentials have been supplied and reviewed, you can now see the status of any credentials reviewed by the standard LAL Validation Service, and those reviewed by your company:

In addition, every credential uploaded by a locum now provides your Compliance Team the option to explicitly mark it as rejected. This removes the previous situation where it was unclear if an unverified credential was still to be reviewed, or if had actually been reviewed and was found to be unacceptable.

Credentials that form part of the standard LAL Validation Service will have one of the following LAL Validation statuses:

  • Not Provided

  • Not Validated

  • Validated

  • Rejected

  • Expired

Credentials that are supplied by locums to meet your company’s requirements will have one of the following Company Verification statuses:

  • Not Provided

  • Not Verified

  • Verified

  • Rejected

  • Expired

Managing Locum Compliance Status and User Status

Another useful and popular change is the way that a locum’s user status and compliance status is now managed. This was in response to feedback from customers who found the old way confusing.

With this release, every locum now has the following statuses:
