How to Mark a Shift as Overtime

A step-by-step guide detailing how to create a shift and mark it as overtime and how to edit existing shifts to mark it as overtime.

To create shifts, once you log into your profile you will need to navigate to the ‘Rota’ tab located on the top left-hand side of the below screenshot.

Once you select the ‘Rota’ tab the following screen will appear:

Scroll down on the rota until you see the employee you would like to assign an overtime shift to. Simply, navigate to the applicable date and hover over the '+' (plus) icon and you will see the option to 'Add Shift'.

As shown in the below example for ‘Rory Pharmacist’ on ‘Sat 02 Jul’:

Once you select the option to ‘Add Shift’ the following screen will display:

On this screen you will see the ‘Is Overtime?’ check box, check this box to indicate that the shift is overtime. You can also edit information around the ‘Shift Details’, ‘Assigned Person’ and ‘Shift Notes’ by navigating the tabs on the left-hand side before selecting the green ‘Create & Publish’ button.

Marking an Existing Shift as Overtime:

Within the ‘Rota’ calendar view locate the shift you wish to mark as overtime.

Once you have located the relevant shift. Click on the shift cell within the calendar view to edit. Once selected the below modal will display:

On this screen you will see the ‘Is Overtime?’ check box, check this box to indicate that the shift is overtime. You can then select the green ‘Save Changes’ button to save the shift as overtime.
