Firstly, to access the ‘Payroll Categories’, you will need to navigate to the ‘Cog’ icon located on the top right-hand side of the screenshot below:
Once you select the ‘Cog’ icon, the dropdown menu will appear.
Here, you will select the option for ‘Payroll Categories’.
When on the ‘Payroll Categories’ screen you will see the green ‘Add’ button. Click Here to create a new payroll category.
Once selected the below modal will appear:
At this stage, you can free text to populate the ‘Key’, ‘Display Name’ & associated ‘External Reference’.
You’ll also be able to free text in to populate the ‘Rate’ or you can utilise the arrows provided to populate.
To populate the ‘Hours Calculation Type’, click on the downward arrow to display the dropdown menu.
You can also set a payroll category as your default shift category by checking the checkbox provided, however, it is worth noting that only one payroll category can be the default shift category for your company.
To detail additional information on the payroll category you can free text into the ‘Description’ text box provided.
Once you’re happy with the information populated, click on the green ‘Save’ button to create this payroll category.
Now that the Payroll Category has been created you can make edits by selecting the ‘Cog’ icon within the ‘Actions’ column or if the payroll category is no longer in use you can select the ‘Bin’ icon to delete it.
