How to Enable or Disable Instant Book for a Locum

Use this guide to change a locum’s Instant Book status (globally or for specific locations).

Before you start

  • Access is permissions-based. If you can’t edit locum settings, ask a Company Admin.

Steps

  1. Open People
    Go to People from the main navigation.

2. Show locums
Set User Type to Locum.

3. Find the locum
Search by name or email, or use + Add Filter to narrow results, then click the locum’s name to open their profile.

4. Open Settings
In the profile, select the Settings tab.

5. Update Instant Book

  • Use the Instant Book dropdown to choose: Not Set, Enabled, or Disabled.

  • (Optional) Disable at specific locations: open the location selector and choose the store(s) where Instant Book should be blocked.

6. Save
Click Save Changes (green).

Tips

  • Use Enabled only for locums you trust to self-book without review.

  • If issues arise at a store, keep Instant Book Enabled globally but disable at specific locations.

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t see Settings/Instant Book: You may lack permissions or be viewing the wrong profile type—confirm User Type = Locum.
