  • Name → enter the job type name.

  • Type of Cover Required → select from the dropdown menu.

  • Default Leave Tier → choose the appropriate tier (Level 1 = lowest & Level 4 = highest).

  • User Always Visible in Rota → check if users should always display in the rota, even without shifts.

  • Relief Worker → check if this job type is for staff working across multiple stores on short notice.

  • Display Colour → choose how this job type appears on the rota.

  • Display Order → choose the order in which this job type appears on the rota.

3. Click the green Save button.

3. Edit an Existing Job Type

  1. On the Job Types page, find the job type you want to delete.

  2. In the Actions column, click the Bin icon.

Note: You can only delete job types that are not assigned to users.

Additional Information

  • Job types define how staff are categorised and displayed in your rota.

  • Each job type can be colour-coded for easier rota management.

  • Default leave tier ensures staff rank correctly in the leave approval hierarchy.

Troubleshooting

  • I can’t delete a job type: Ensure it is not currently assigned to any users. Remove assignments first, then try again.

  • New job type not visible in rota: Confirm the User Always Visible in Rota box is checked if you want users of this type to always appear.
